Nikolaos Parotsidis joins BARC
BARC welcomes new Postdoc Nikolas Parotsidis to the team.
BARC welcomes Nikolaos (Nikos) Parotsidis who is joining BARC from 1 February as a Postdoctoral researcher in Basic Algorithms Research Copenhagen (BARC) center, in the Algorithms and Complexity Section. Nikos completed his PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, while he received his Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Ioannina, Greece. The main research during his PhD revolved around connectivity-related problems in directed graphs under different setting, such as the static, the fault-tolerant, and the dynamic setting.
At BARC Nikos will extend his main research agenda on Algorithms and Data Structures for connectivity in graphs, trying to tackle some of the challenging open problems in the area. Other areas that he is conducting research in are Machine Learning, Distributed Computing, Algorithm Engineering, Optimization, Data Mining.
