New PhD student Nina Mesing Stausholm Nielsen joins BARC

On October 1st, Nina will join the algorithms section at ITU as a PhD student, supervised by professor Rasmus Pagh and co-supervised by professor Mikkel Thorup. Nina has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Computer Science - both from the University of Copenhagen.
She did her Master’s thesis on set similarity search, which she will continue working with during the PhD. She will also look into topics in privacy.
