Maximilian Probst
BARC welcomes Maximilian Probst who started working as a PhD student at BARC on 1 October 2017 supervised by Associate Professor Christian Wulff-Nilsen. He earned his master's degree at DIKU and his bachelor's degree at the DHBW in Stuttgart whilst working for Alcatel-Lucent. His master's thesis focused on the nearest-colored node problem and new algorithms and lower bounds were developed for various settings. The objective of the PhD research project is to gain a better understanding of fundamental graph problems in static and dynamic settings and to narrow gaps between lower and upper bounds, striving for optimally in the best case.
