Manon Blanc honoured with two major awards

awards

Manon Blanc, Postdoctoral Researcher at the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) and affiliated with BARC, has been recognised with two distinguished awards, underscoring her exceptional contributions to theoretical computer science.

Manon Blanc, Postdoctoral Researcher, receives the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Young Talent Award.

On one hand, she has been awarded the Best Scientific Production in ICST prize on the Plateau de Saclay – an annual award granted to early-career researchers of outstanding promise among the universities at France’s innovation hub. On the other, she is the recipient of the L’Oréal‑UNESCO For Women in Science Young Talent Award, which honours exceptional young female scientists and is adjudicated by a jury led by the President of the French Academy of Sciences.

Manon Blanc’s research concentrates on the fields of computability and complexity theory, where she investigates fundamental questions about how much time and memory are required to solve various computational problems. Her work has been described by Professor Nutan Limaye , a BARC core member, as “foundational and of great mathematical depth”.

We extend our warm congratulations to Manon Blanc on this significant recognition.
