BARC welcomes new PhD student Jakob Bæk Tejs Knudsen to the team.

BARC welcomes Jakob Bæk Tejs Knudsen who started his PhD at BARC on 1 January 2018 supervised by professor Mikkel Thorup.

Jakob completed his bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen. Jakob has been successful in scientific competitions which has resulted in 4 Danish Championships in programming and he was part of the first, and so far only, Danish team to qualify for the ICPC World Finals. Being midway through his master's programme, Jakob will be joining BARC in an integrated MSc-PhD program supervised by Mikkel Thorup. During his PhD, Jakob will pursue research in the general area of algorithms, applying methods from his background in mathematics.
