BARC welcomes Sophus Valentin Willumsgaard

Sophus Willumsgaard joined the BARC team on September 1, 2025 as a PhD student under the supervision of Srikanth Srinivasan, working on Algebraic Complexity. He finished his master's degree in mathematics at UCPH, where he worked on problems related to algebra, geometry, and topology, and is hoping to use this tools to study complexity measures related to tensors and polynomials and related problems.

In his free time, Sophus enjoys climbing, swimming and learning Chinese, where he hopes to achieve a decent pronunciation within the next 50 years.
