BARC welcomes Hanzhi Wang
BARC welcomes new Postdoc Hanzhi Wang to the team
Hanzhi Wang joined BARC on November 1, 2024, as a Postdoc, working with Professor Mikkel Thorup. Her research interests focus on graph algorithms, particularly on developing sublinear-time algorithms for large-scale graphs. Previously, she devoted her efforts to designing local algorithms for random-walk probability estimation on large graphs (e.g., computing a single node’s PageRank score by exploring only a small fraction of the graph).
Before joining BARC, Hanzhi obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Renmin University of China in May 2024, under the supervision of Professor Zhewei Wei. Prior to that, she received her B.E. degree from the same institution in 2019.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and plays. After coming to Denmark, she has developed a fondness for Danish design and plans to explore Copenhagen’s fantastic museums in the future.
