WAVE 2025
BARC is excited to announce the upcoming WAVE Workshop (Women in Algorithms, Venture into Exploration), which will be held at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, on Friday, October 10th, 2025.
WAVE - Women in Algorithms, Venture into Exploration will feature both technical talks and a panel discussion focused on Theoretical Computer Science (TCS). We hope that this workshop will serve as a valuable entry point to TCS for anyone currently working in the field, interested in entering the field, or is simply curious.
We have invited some amazing speakers and panelists to join us. In celebration of the 150th anniversary of women’s access to the University of Copenhagen, all of our invited speakers are outstanding female researchers. However, participants of all genders are equally encouraged to attend, as all topics discussed will be relevant to everyone in the field. Our panel will feature both female and male panelists who will discuss challenges faced by early-career researchers.
The WAVE Workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to meet great people and explore the beautiful city of Copenhagen, especially as the evening after the workshop coincides with Copenhagen’s largest annual event, “Copenhagen Culture Night”! The workshop is free to attend, with catering provided, but registration is required by October 2nd, 2025. You can find the registration link and more details about the event on the WAVE website: https://barc.ku.dk/wave-conference/
